Meet the Cranberries
The Cranberries are a well-known Irish alternative rock band with popular hits, such as Zombie.
We are not them.
But we did build this really, really innovative company and web service. Some people might say we make both rock and roll.
So we thought you might like to meet our particular band.
Giant Cranberry: David McInnis – Founder and CEO (I'm kind of a big deal)
Counting Cranberry: Ken Packer – Chief Financial OfficerDavid is the man with the concepts and the experience. A genuine Internet visionary.
He had the idea for a direct-to-consumer news service called PRWeb, which he birthed and raised into a Web 2.0 dynamo. He then cashed in his cranberries and planted fresh seeds in other entrepreneurial ventures, including this one.
David is a free content zealot. ‘Tear down those firewalls,’ is his rallying cry. He will do for documents and in-depth content what he did for news releases – Revolutionize them! Optimize them! Democratize them!
David designs and programs. He leads and hires. He evangelizes. He is an Apple-aholic. He flies planes and rockets companies.
If you ever find yourself in a cranberry patch, he’s the kind of CEO you want in there with you.
Cranberry Sauce: Benjamin Stier - Creative Director (Common Man)Counting cranberries isn’t like counting beans. It takes a strategic focus and advanced business intelligence, the kind Ken has brought to each and every challenge in his diverse career in accounting and finance.
Ken is a successful entrepreneur (skateboarding/snowboarding business), teacher (adjunct professor at Provo College) and family man (he and his wife are raising four Cranberry users).
While David amuses himself on his Vespa and Dean has seen a Vespa, Ken is an off-road motorcycle enthusiast. If you have to get business accomplished on a golf course, invite Ken – not David and especially not Dean.
Like Thanksgiving without cranberry sauce, our main course would be wanting without Ben.
Ben, who oozes creative genius. Ben, who edited and co-directed Storpio, an Italian short film that tells the story of a lonely, wheelchair-bound artist who struggles to get by in a rugged seaside Italian village – and proves himself a hero along the way.
Kind of like Ben. Only Ben lives in Utah. Ben doesn’t speak Italian. And fortunately, Ben walks – even runs – under his own power. But Ben is our hero nonetheless.
Ben markets Cranberry and designs its look and feel. While David envisions the web site, Ben breathes flavor into it. Cranberry flavor.
Carrier Cranberry: Mark A. Effinger - BFF of CEO & Advisor
What can I say about Mark? He is a great friend and sounding board. Not only does he have ADD, he is a carrier (I think the CDC is monitoring Mark carefully).
