Sendouts Survey Finds 72 Percent of Recruiters Struggle with Time and Process Management

ST. LOUIS, MO (CRANBERRY) August 30, 2012 – Sendouts, a leading provider of staffing and recruiting software solutions for third party recruiting and staffing firms surveyed nearly 400 recruiting and staffing professionals to identify recruiting benchmarks for 2012.
Time and Workflow Obstacles - The survey results highlight the importance of a defined recruiting workflow for recruiting and staffing firms. 72 percent of respondents indicate that time and process management is the biggest obstacle they face at work each day.
While a majority of recruiting and staffing professionals struggle with time and process management, 35 percent do not follow a defined recruiting workflow.
Survey results suggest that a defined recruiting workflow stands between small recruiting and staffing firms and growth. 64 percent of respondents report that they work at a company with 1 to 10 recruiters and salespeople. However, in this same group of under 10 recruiters and sales people, only 53 percent follow a defined recruiting workflow. In comparison, recruiting and staffing firms with 11+ employees follow a defined recruiting workflow 71 percent to 86 percent of the time.
“At Sendouts, we’re passionate about eliminating the challenges recruiters face. To combat time management issues, we thoroughly research each new features that goes into Sendouts,” says Brian Hopcraft, Sendouts President and CEO. “We listen to our customers carefully so that we can provide features that add value to their process, and avoid incorporating add-ons that distract from daily responsibilities.”
Hopcraft continues, “Sendouts helps to standardize workflow, and eliminates redundancies in the recruiting process. With a streamlined process, recruiting firms can cut down on distractions, easily scale with growth, and exceed the 1 to 10 employee range that makes up 64 percent of recruiting firms.”
Finding Good Candidates - While time and process management is the main challenge for recruiting and staffing professionals, the survey also indicates that finding good candidates is also a top obstacle for the recruiting industry in 2012.
No matter what their role was in their company (owner, manager, recruiter, or salesperson) respondents reported that activities surrounding recruiting candidates are their greatest responsibility. In the top industries for recruiters, obtaining job orders is less of a challenge than managing client expectations and presenting clients with good talent.
Recruiting Metrics Benchmarks - The complete survey results are published in Sendouts’ 2012 Recruiting Benchmarks Report. Metrics covered in the report include:
Marketing Call Effectiveness, Job Order Coverage, Job Order Response Time, Quality of Candidates Submitted, Quality of Candidates Interviewed, Quality of Hire/Contractor, Fill Ratio Time to Fill.
